@Taylor - the starter is for Stark vs Lannister (of course...) but hopefully we will see the white walkers and the wights!

After hearing more about this at CMON expo, I'm completely sold on this game. It seems awesome, with a great deal of retailer support for the product. The models look fantastic, and it look as though the first line up is going to be Lannister, Stark, Wildlings... and I'm sure they aren't just going to leave it at three (who do the wildlings fight most often i wonder... :doubt:).

What I'm looking forward to is the possibility of CMON releasing an epic dragon model.

Here are some of the painted models.

From what I understand - these are production models - so this is the quality of the models you will receive.

Love the models and the paintjob... though I am sure they will still look really good even without the ridiculously awesome NMM seen there.

Apparently the models are a mix pvc with hard plastic weapons to give blades that extra crispness.

There is no way in hell that I'm no getting in on this game on the ground floor. It's played on a 4' x 4' table, with special consideration for terrain and the effects it has on troops.

Your heroes join units, and grant them special Abilities.  For example, Jaime Lannister has an ability called duelist. In combat with another unit, he rolls a separate d6. On a 5+, that units hero dies. On a 1, Jaime dies.

The rules are simple enough - with the depth being granted by special Abilities.  Apparently all the houses will have representation with unique models and rules. For example, Starks might have a unit of Tully swordsmen and a unit of Karstark berserkers, but both houses serve under Stark. The Lannisters have their own troops, but also might have a unit of The Bloody Mummers.

All in all, I think this is going to be great and I'm really looking forward to it.

The Bloody Mummers were my favourite. At least the book version of them. Also, the duel skill should have Jaime win on a 4+, not a 5+... unless it is the left-handed version, lol.

I'm pretty sure the 5+ is for balance reasons. I'm going to really have to exercise some self control here. From a collector point of view... I'm going to want everything.

There is a 3D render of Robb Stark. I think again I'll mention that it looks as though it is sticking with the book descriptions and not the show.

Here is Cersei Lannister. From what I understand, she is not a combat character, and her model is for display purposes only.

To be honest, as a collector I'm likely going to be getting all of these and build any army for both. These models are EXACTLY what I've been looking for.
