Fall of Konor project

Recommended Posts

So with the global 40k campaign about to start this week I figured I'd try my hand at a new painting challenge. So here it is. Now it's just the base coat but I'll be doing a Howling Griffons army. Couple of challenges are doing a quarter paint scheme by hand and also doing yellow with a degree of success haha.

Of course any thoughts or comments are more than welcome.

Looks awesome, dude. To do a good yellow, you should wash all the yellow with a brown or sepia, then highlight with the same yellow, and edge highlight with a 1:1 yellow and white.

Thanks for the advice. Model was a pain to do the quarter on due to their unique jump pack. Still debating if I'll go for a clean look with line highlights or battleworn and drybrush.

Personally, I prefer the battle-worn look. I'm just learning about weathering powders and I'm loving them.

I actually read a really cool tutorial on how to make my own using a coffee grinder and a cheap pack of chalk pastels.
