4Ground - The Legends Of Fabled Realms

Recommended Posts

I just found this today, along with some renders for figures. Looks like a fantasy skirmish game being planned by 4Ground (one of the earlier companies to do mdf... they have some nice stuff). You can read about it here: http://www.beastsofwar.com/4ground/legends-fabled-realms-coming-soon/

The renders of the one faction look pretty awesome to me!

I think they are supposed to come to KS eventually, but the renders look promising to me!

yeah, those look solid as hell. I heard that 4Ground was making their own skirmish game. Looks like i'm finally getting my wish for a solid fantasy skirmish game to hit the market.

ahhh.. i watched the 40 minute video on it.. it looks like it is heavily card based... not sure how i feel about that.

I was kinda interested until that i saw it used special dice... that is always a big turn off for me for some reason. It's why i couldn't get into x-wing really - it feels more like a board game than a wargame to me.

That seems like a super long wait considering they've already been advertising it since... January? Most of the stuff is pretty made - so it's just models aND books and "special dice".

The models look okay... but I'm also not freaking out about them.

There are some cool ones, for sure. But I agree... probably not worth the wait. Will see how they look in retail for this one most likely.

That, and with all of the wonderful plastic and resin terrain out there... I just can't bring myself to make a big investment in mdf terrain. At least not for non-industrial type buildings.
