  1. Durek's Yard Sale thread

Decided to consolidate my sale threads as I am adding a couple new things. 2nd post will have any pictures if some are needed. Misc: 19 metal Naginatas I got years ago for some project or another Asking 5$ 26 custom Chessex 40k Ork "Kult of Speed" dice (20 Red, 6 Yellow). bought them for approx 38$ (30$ US) Asking 20$ 15$ GW: Weirdnob Shaman https://www.games-workshop.com/en-CA/Ironjawz-Orruk-Weirdnob-Shaman new on sprue asking 20$ 15$ Undead Lot - 1 GW metal Banshee - 36 Ghouls (all magnetised square bases) [ 26 painted] 7 OOP metal GW Ghouls, 14 plastic GW Ghouls, and 15 GW Gnoblars which make excellent Ghoulies (ghoul kids lol) - 30 Mantic Skeletons with spears, shields or hand weapons [10 unassembled] (primed black) in my opinion superior to GW as they have more detail and don’t break as much. Their scale is more realistic as a skeleton should be smaller than the human it comes from 😉 also comes with decals. 3. The Beer and Pretzels Open 2017

Wanted to give a big thank you to both organizers for all the work that goes into this (most of which people don't see); as well as all the helpers, those who donated prizes, all my opponents and others i didn't get a chance to play. You've all made it a memorable day/event for me. Thank you. :) Jeremie (Alpharius)

  8. Looking to give away a large Plaster of Paris imprint i made as a prop for a Mythos rpg i was running. 16" by 13" Red line i added via paint to help define it for you Any takers?
  9. Our (my wife's) first new miniatures of Batman 2nd ed arrived. Very nicely detailed coloured resin minis, for those who arent keen on painting much. No assembly required for most minis ive seen this time around, which is an improvement over 1st ed difficulties. The poses still capture the flavour of the characters which is nice. New card format is nice; however those unfortunate sculpted bases remain :(
  10. WTS Ghouls & Skeletons

    Reduced price to 50$
  11. WTS Ghouls & Skeletons

I want to get ride of my older Vampire count army I was beginning. I have the following lot to go in one shot. Geoff not sure your forum name however if someone could tag him as Brandon said you might be interested in this specifically? 1 GW metal Banshee 36 Ghouls (all magnatised square bases) [ 26 painted] 7 OOP metal GW Ghouls, 14 plastic GW Ghouls, and 15 GW Gnoblars which make excellent Ghoulies (ghoul kids lol) 30 Mantic Skeletons with spears, shields or hand weapons [10 unassembled] (primed black) in my opinion superior to GW as they have more detail and don’t break as much. Their scale is more realistic as a skeleton should be smaller than the human it comes from 😉 also comes with decals. I also have 3 Mantic troop boxes which act as troop storage or what have you. They resemble old VHS tape boxes lol. Asking 70$ 50$
  12. Chess/Death Clocks

Thanks for the offer but I probably will just buy one myself :) Just wanted people's thoughts on them. Yes Batman is still happening just with a select few people. 2nd edition seems much better We will be trailing this both ways. Either way tourneys will still be timed games as per the usual, just was thinking thid may help a couple players with time management. Thank you all for your comments.
  13. Chess/Death Clocks

I am hoping a few WarmaHorde tournament players can help with something. I know WMH used to use Chess clocks when I played in tourneys to help keep players on task and in the game as well as on schedule. We are thinking of doing the same with some Malifaux and Batman events as we have a couple players who suffer from analysis paralysis. Can someone recommend good clocks or analogue vs digital? Ive seen some on chess stores and amazon but figured i would ask people whove used them before. Thanks
  14. Chess/Death Clocks

thank everyone. As for them in 40k in my younger days we tried this method a few times to see if it would work. It works very well in skirmish type games but in bigger games like 40k and WFB they tend to punish certain armies; mostly Horde. Back when WFB was 2,000 and 40K was 1,500 points Skaven, Orcs & Gobbos; Tyranids, Imperial Guard and Orks were penalised while elite low count armies thrived in the deathclock events like Death/Raven-wing and the like. Some food for thought for bigger model count games.
  15. A friend of mine sent these to me; figured Id leave them here for the community to enjoy also.
  16. Price Drops: Game of Thrones: Lot #1: now 80$ Lot #2: remains 30$ Lot #1 &2 : 100$ Star Wars Armada: now asking 100$

  18. https://www.wyrd-games.net/homefront What is Homefront? Homefront is a worldwide Malifaux campaign that allows players all over the world to get involved in the Malifaux universe. Players can submit the results of their games to influence the growth and direction of the vibrant world of Malifaux. Winning At the end of Homefront, the Faction with the most Scheme Points will be the Faction awarded next year's Nightmare Box, which may be a Crew, a collection of models, or an individual model. They will also, of course, have the bragging rights that come from winning a hard-fought campaign. In addition to this, the syndicate with the most Strategy Points will rise to power and become the first universal syndicate* for The Other Side. If both syndicates are tied at the end of the campaign, the syndicate that received the most votes (over the course of the entire campaign) will be the winner. Block/Round 1 October 2nd to October 15th.
  19. How Long Do Your Brushes Last?

depends what they are made out of and how rough you use them, the quality and style of brush (synthetic vs hair, long or short bristles). My wife much prefers short bristle Koliski sable hair brushes. She takes very good care of them and gets about 30 to 50 models per set of brushes (she uses size #1 & 2). I prefer longer bristle synthetics, they are cheaper and longer lasting for the treatment i put them through. I've painted aprox the value of 75 GW trooper minis with mine before they were frayed? I mostly use size 1 and 0 Old frayed brushes are great for washes (if they arent too bad) then dry brush then basing :)
  20. Airbrush paints

Anyone use GW Air paints or even Army Painter if they have a line? Want to get back into using my Airbrush and was never overly fond of Vallejo Airs.
  21. Airbrush paints

    Ok thanks both of you
  22. I was able to retrieve some of my older work from a now defunct website. about half is lost here is a sampling of what is left and my thoughts on them. All of my old 40K, WFB and other early painting is still lost. Below is sample of my Malifaux models. The Convict Gunslinger is probably my best work to date. That isn’t saying much but I like the end result and it is tied with my Clown models from Batman seen further on. Next, we have Batman miniature game which is now just starting its 2nd edition with free digital download of rule book and compendium. I really liked the way the Knife & Shield Clown sweat stains turned out. Funny enough, this isn’t really crew I use. I play Nightwing as my main then Two Face/Organised Crime as my secondary. Below we have my Flames of War minis. I’m very happy with the way all these turned out as well as learning how to weather small vehicles and different types of effect. 1st British Airborne are my main along with Canadian Armour then my German which aren’t seen here as I can’t find any pictures of them. The Soviet tanks with their winter camo was fun to do as I based them on a spring timeline where they whitewashing they received was beginning to fade from rain and wear and tear. The Typhoon and Shahak were nice exercise for my airbrush skills. Next up is some Uncharted Seas model from my Iron Dwarves and Shroud Mage fleets. Such a great game too bad Spartan abandoned them for Dystopic Wars…. Had some fun with tiny details and learning different washing techniques. Dropzone Commander is a game I wish I liked more as I have an issue with the dropship rules which are a mainstay of the game. The minis are great and was my first use and large learning curve of airbrush use. I haven’t tried Dropfleet Commander, however I hear its really good. Lastly, in this lengthy post is bling for my favourite card game FFG’s Call of Cthulhu. These are several examples domain tiles I made for myself (Hastur) and some others I made for local players including my wife. She may even re start her Plog here if we can recover her pictures.
