  1. BPO Feedback Thread

Its my first year at BPO but ive been to many tournaments for GW (years ago) and more recently for many other mini games. |I really enjoyed myself and am looking forward to attending again if my schedule permits. The venue was good, but is small if you want to grow further. The food was good and from what ive heard a major improvement from previous years. Organisation was good but maybe a review of the scoring rubric in the pre-event prep speech? The schedule and timing was good, i only went to time in my third game because of the increased scoring complexity. However that was on me. Prize support was amazing and easily top 3 ive ever been to. The other 2 were sponsored by the companies Wyrd and KM themselves. You clearly did very well there. For me 3 rounds was good, however i can see the attraction to a 2 day event. Ive only ever done one 2 day tourney and it was fun. Game size was perfect, teams are fun every once in a while. The Grudge Match option was great as well as have 2 categories. A local table top convention would be great, as for a tourney like this i would say once or twice a year max not to burn yourselves out or cheapen the uniqueness of this local event. These are just my personal views and i would like to say say again; great job and I had a blast. :)

  4. The Beer and Pretzels Open 2017

Wanted to give a big thank you to both organizers for all the work that goes into this (most of which people don't see); as well as all the helpers, those who donated prizes, all my opponents and others i didn't get a chance to play. You've all made it a memorable day/event for me. Thank you. :) Jeremie (Alpharius)

  10. Durek's Yard Sale thread

Decided to consolidate my sale threads as I am adding a couple new things. 2nd post will have any pictures if some are needed. Misc: 19 metal Naginatas I got years ago for some project or another Asking 5$ 26 custom Chessex 40k Ork "Kult of Speed" dice (20 Red, 6 Yellow). bought them for approx 38$ (30$ US) Asking 20$ 15$ GW: Weirdnob Shaman https://www.games-workshop.com/en-CA/Ironjawz-Orruk-Weirdnob-Shaman new on sprue asking 20$ 15$ Undead Lot - 1 GW metal Banshee - 36 Ghouls (all magnetised square bases) [ 26 painted] 7 OOP metal GW Ghouls, 14 plastic GW Ghouls, and 15 GW Gnoblars which make excellent Ghoulies (ghoul kids lol) - 30 Mantic Skeletons with spears, shields or hand weapons [10 unassembled] (primed black) in my opinion superior to GW as they have more detail and don’t break as much. Their scale is more realistic as a skeleton should be smaller than the human it comes from 😉 also comes with decals. FFG: Game of Thrones: Looking to sell 2 lots of the new edition of Game of Thrones card game from Fantasy Flight Games. 11. Our (my wife's) first new miniatures of Batman 2nd ed arrived. Very nicely detailed coloured resin minis, for those who arent keen on painting much. No assembly required for most minis ive seen this time around, which is an improvement over 1st ed difficulties. The poses still capture the flavour of the characters which is nice. New card format is nice; however those unfortunate sculpted bases remain :(
  12. WTS Ghouls & Skeletons

    Reduced price to 50$
  13. Chess/Death Clocks

Thanks for the offer but I probably will just buy one myself :) Just wanted people's thoughts on them. Yes Batman is still happening just with a select few people. 2nd edition seems much better We will be trailing this both ways. Either way tourneys will still be timed games as per the usual, just was thinking thid may help a couple players with time management. Thank you all for your comments.
  14. Chess/Death Clocks

thank everyone. As for them in 40k in my younger days we tried this method a few times to see if it would work. It works very well in skirmish type games but in bigger games like 40k and WFB they tend to punish certain armies; mostly Horde. Back when WFB was 2,000 and 40K was 1,500 points Skaven, Orcs & Gobbos; Tyranids, Imperial Guard and Orks were penalised while elite low count armies thrived in the deathclock events like Death/Raven-wing and the like. Some food for thought for bigger model count games.
